Ica is one of the largest wine growing regions in the country
and home of the national drink, Pisco, a grape brand similar
to grappa.
A few kilometers out of Ica lies Huacachina. This natural oasis
is surrounded by sand dunes,
where visitors can satisfy their
need for adrenaline in a sand buggy or on a sand board. Paracas,
the starting point for The Ballestas Islands, is about an hour away
from Ica.
